Day 21, 22 and 23
My last 3 workouts this week were brilliant! Level Three is without doubt my favorite and there is one move in it that is working my inner thighs and bum to the max. I can see real muscles! I weighed myself on Day 22 and was 142.4 which is another 6 ounces less than the last weight in.
Day 24 and 25
I was so busy for these two days but I felt amazing after squeezing the workout in. I don't think I've ever stuck to a workout with the dedication that I have with this one. It's impossible to make excuses and I feel great so I've stuck to it and I'm proud of myself. On Day 25 I weighed 141.6 so thats almost a pound lost since the last weigh in 3 days ago.
Day 26, 27, 28 and 29
I started to get a tiny bit bored by Day 28 and am relieved that I'm coming to the end of the 30 Days. Doing 10 days on each level is pretty much perfect because for the first 4 or 5 workouts its all new and you're getting strong, then for the next 3 or 4 workouts you are motivated by how well you can do it then for the last 1 or 2 you are motivated to be moving up a level (or in this case, ending the challenge!). Probably the most notable thing in the last 4 days of workouts is that i can do all the abdominal moves and I have a rock hard stomach! I have a line down the middle of my tummy that I am loving!
Day 30
I'm done!!! I worked SO HARD during today's workout knowing that it would be the last! My weigh in this morning was 140.2 lb which I'm extremely happy with! I'm so proud of myself for completely the whole 30 days with very few breaks and I'm amazed that I got through the whole workout today without collapsing or crying!
Conclusion
First, the statistics: I started the workout at 143 lb hoping to lose the 10 lb of weight I had gained from giving up smoking. Unfortunately Christmas happened and I ended up weighing 146 lb by Day 6 of the workout! That ended up interfering with the results a lot but it also means that I lost 6 lb in 24 days which is very, very impressive for me. Especially considering that I must have gained some muscle weight and that I lose weight very slowly.
Aside from the weight loss, I am amazed at how my body looks. My legs and bum have so much more muscle tone than before I started. I have muscles in my arms which I have never had and my abs feel rock solid. I've still got a little layer of fat covering up those ab muscles unfortunately but even that layer is much flatter than before!
As I mentioned in one of the daily entries, this is the first time I have really, truly, stuck with a workout and I have never, ever worked out pretty much every day for a month. Normally I would have taken 2 weeks off for Christmas and skipped 2 or 3 days in a row If I was busy. Somehow, I didn't even feel tempted with this DVD because it's short and it's fun. Even more than that, the feeling of satisfaction when you're done is unbeatable because it's so intense.
Now I've done my 30 Days, I don't feel like slacking off and I'm ready to dive head first into something else. There is no doubt that in a month or so I will do this again because I enjoyed it so much. So, my aim now is to shed another 5 lb on something else for the next month and then hit The Shred again with a proper diet to see if I can drop more than 6 lb! Challenge!
